Encounter with the Sleeping Giant

Prof. Danica Dakić, Ina Weise, Raul Walch, and Jirka Reichmann (coordination).Works by Sisu Satrawaha (Mon), Laura Leal, Bernardita Bennett, Nađa Kračunović, Viktor Dallmann, Milad Rezaei, Pati Sayuri, Minhee Ahn, Fabienne Margue, Jonathan Joosten, Arijit Bhattacharyya, Lea Wittich, Vitor de Almeida Mattos.

In the project ENCOUNTER WITH THE SLEEPING GIANT, site-specific artistic works were developed in the building and around the area of the historic Matthäikirchhof in Leipzig. Individually and/or in groups, the international students of the MFA programme engaged with the site and its history and created artworks in different forms and media.

La Plastika Rayada:"The Paradise Between Us"

This collective exhibition was born from the Bis-a-Bis program under the direction of Olga Robayo and Gustavo Romero, and curated by the artist Ana Rosero residing in El Parche Artist Residency during July 2014. "THE PARADAISE BETWEEN US" is a project that seeks to visualize the artistic scene of the city of Cali by bringing together generations of artists and their dialogues in multiple contexts.

In 2013, given the lack of spaces that support the work of emerging artists in the city of Cali, the initiative to create a meeting place that brings together the vision of five students of the Departmental Institute of Fine Arts emerges. With media such as installation and video, issues that are close to political realities that contain identity, constitutional and territorial burdens are addressed
